STUDENT DISCIPLINES

 

ARTICLE 1: MORALITY

  1. All students must be mindful to practice good morals and to perform duties required of good citizens.
  2. All students must be polite, respectful, and friendly to all schoolmates, all instructors, all officers and employees of the school, all officers and employees of Quang Trung Software City (QTSC), and all visitors of the school and of QTSC. Students must not quarrel with or threaten any other person in the school or in QTSC at any time. Violators, even for first-time offenses, will face punishment from stern warnings up to dismissal from the school, depending on the seriousness of the offense.

 

ARTICLE 2: ATTENDANCE

  1. All students must be punctual for classes:- First morning class - 7:30 a.m. - First afternoon class - 1:00 p.m.
  2. The school will inform parents when students are late for class for the third time during a semester.
  3. If absent, students must have a legitimate and acceptable excuse supported by proper written documentation.
  4. All students must complete all assignments, projects, and homework, prepare for all lessons, attend all quizzes, tests, mid-term exams, and final exams. Students must do so in a serious, disciplined, and ethical manner. Students who cheat will have the results of their work abrogated. Also, violators will be subject to disciplinary actions stated in the Policy on Cheating of the school.

 

ARTICLE 3: GENERAL BEHAVIOR

  1.  Always be on good behavior and display good character.
  2.  Maintain order and safety. Keep the school and QTSC clean and neat. Always display student ID cards while on campus and in QTSC. On the third violation, students will be sternly warned and may be subject to a more serious disciplinary action.
  3. Follow and abide by all other rules and regulations including, but not limited to, those of the school, the library, the labs, the dormitory, and QTSC.
  4. It is prohibited to visit living places or working places of other organizations in QTSC without permission. Do not disturb the peace of the school or QTSC (e.g., listening to loud music, noisy play, or other raucous activities). Do not be bothersome to other students or anyone else in the school or in QTSC. It is prohibited to smoke anywhere on campus.
  5. It is prohibited to bring strangers or guests who are not invited by the school or QTSC into the school or QTSC. Violators, even for first-time offenses, will face punishment from stern warnings up to dismissal from the school, depending on the seriousness of the offense.
  6. It is prohibited to play cards or to gamble in any form for money. Violators, even for first-time offenses, will be reported to the police and could face dismissal from the school, depending on the seriousness of the offense.
  7. It is prohibited to steal from anyone at the school or QTSC, any organizations located in QTSC, or any business operating in QTSC. It is prohibited to store or trade weapons, explosives, flammable items, or any other illegal or dangerous items in the school, dormitory, or any other place in QTSC. Violators, even for first-time offenses, will face punishment from stern warnings up to dismissal from the school, depending on the seriousness of the offense.
  8. It is prohibited to possess or carry weapons of any kind while on campus or in QTSC. Prohibited weapons include, but not limited to, guns, explosives, flammable items, falchions, bayonets, knives of all kinds, and clubs. Violators, even for first-time offenses, will be reported to the police and could face dismissal from the school, depending on the seriousness of the offense.
  9. It is prohibited to possess, carry, store, use, transport, or harbor illegal drugs if any kind or entice others to use such drugs while on campus or in QTSC. Violators, even for first-time offenses, will be reported to the police and could face dismissal from the school, depending on the seriousness of the offense.
  10. It is prohibited to drink alcoholic beverages, to cause disorder, to disturb the peace, to quarrel, to fight, or to otherwise disrupt school activities as well as business activities on campus, in QTSC, or on the streets surrounding QTSC. Violators, even for first-time offenses, could face dismissal from the school and, depending on the seriousness of the offense, will be reported to the police.
  11. The school will publicize the identity of students who commit the following, but not limited to, serious violations:
  12. Cheating of all types and forms.
  13. Fighting, disturbing, threatening, beating, mugging, and stealing from others.
  14. Swearing and being offensive to others.
  15. Bringing depraved films, books, or newspapers to school or QTSC.
  16. Violators, even for first-time offenses, will be reported to the police and could face dismissal from the school, depending on the seriousness of the offense.

 

ARTICLE 4: PROTECTION OF SCHOOL PROPERTY AND OF HYGIENE

  1.  Protect and take care of all school property, those for individual as well as common use, in classrooms, labs, offices, library, and restrooms. Properties of QTSC should also be given equal protection and care. Do not clog up sinks, toilets, and the drainage system. Violators, even for first-time offenses, could face dismissal from the school and could be reported to the police, depending on the seriousness of the offense. In addition, violators must compensate the school and/or QTSC for damages caused.
  2. Do not write, draw, or mark in any way on tables, chairs, boards, and walls of the school or QTSC. Violators, even for first-time offenses, will be face punishment from stern warnings up to dismissal from the school, depending on the seriousness of the offense. In addition, violators must compensate the school and/or QTSC for damages caused and will be punished with janitorial labor ranging from one day to one week.
