SaigonTech is the trading name of Saigon College, formerly known as Saigon Information Technology College, founded in 2001. In 2004, The school was renamed to Saigon Technology College, and upgraded to Saigon Vocational Colllege in 2007. In 2017, the school was again renamed to Saigon College for the purpose of providing the best information technology program at a reasonable cost to students wishing to enjoy the quality of international education in Vietnam.

In 2003, a Partnership Agreement was signed between the institution and Houston Community College System (HCC), allowing it to offer the Associate in Applied Science (AAS) program in Information Technology. The new Affiliation Agreement between SaigonTech and HCC signed in 2007 enabled SaigonTech to offer academic courses in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Accounting, Geographic Information Sciences and to award an AAS degree of HCC, which is accredited by SACSCOC (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges). In 2007, the institution was officially named Saigon Institute of Technology. At the meeting on Education Initiatives, Houston, Texas, USA on June 26, 2008, attended by representatives of more than 60 American universities, businesses, investors and social organizations, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung spoke highly of the successful educational cooperation between Houston Community College and SaigonTech. The Prime Minister strongly encouraged American educators to develop similar programs (HCC SaigonTech) in Vietnam and also expressed his wish for a duplication of the model. From 178 students enrolling in Information Technology in 2001, SaigonTech has now grown to over 2,000 students. In an attempt to expand both qualitatively and quantitatively, SaigonTech strives to develop its training programs, infrastructures, instructors’ qualification and student services. SaigonTech is committed to its mission to contribute to the national educational enhancement, and to offer educational opportunities to those who wish to pursue them. Theory is combined with practice in order to provide each student with opportunities to develop his/her fullest potential. With sufficient preparation, sharp analytical skills, good communication skills, and in-depth expertise, students are well prepared for their future career.
Saigon Tech was Vietnam's first off-campus site of Houston Community College (HCC), a regionally-accredited American community college whose coursework offered at Saigon Tech was approved by SACSCOC in 2005.
Committed to ensuring that every student succeeds, SaigonTech challenges and supports students both in and out of the classroom. The fact that more than 2,000 graduates of SaigonTech from 2005 to 2017 are now successful either in their careers or academic pursuits both in Vietnam and in foreign countries proves the feasibility and achievement of SaigonTech’s objectives. With the strong support of our sister institutions overseas, SaigonTech is achieving its goal of becoming an institution of technological excellence.

2009 - SaigonTech building inaugurated with the investment capital of 20 millions USD
2012 - HCC’s accreditation reaffirmed including the HCC off-campus site at SaigonTech
2017 - 16 years of delivering American quality education to Vietnamese students
2016 is the 15th anniversary of the establishment of SaigonTech, also the starting point for the second takeoff of the school. During this takeoff, SaigonTech positions the brand as a pioneer in the application of science and technology in teaching, learning and concentrates on enhancing the training fields of science and technology, strives to become one of the top institutes in Vietnam, Southeast Asia and Asia.
